In the winter or 1948 to 1951 we had a mini ice age in Whatcom County. Ther picture to the right is myself on the left and Herman Nobach on the right. As you can see here there is a jam that went all the way across the river, and stayed there for several hours before it would move on. It past this location and a mile or so down was the FishTrap creek , and we lived just past the creek. When the flo past us it got stuck again, and the FishTrap creek ran backwards until it over flowed it’s banks and then broke lose thing that we where going to be flooded sevrely.
